Kevin M. Lavalla established his career as an accomplished commercial and investment banker and private equity investor for over 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions. His significant role in the consolidation of the media and communications industries was widely recognized. Kevin completed purchase and sale transactions involving hundreds of businesses located throughout the U.S. with an aggregate transaction value exceeding $3 billion.
Prior to founding Lavalla & Brown, Kevin was recognized as an accomplished legal recruiter, achieving membership in the Executive Club, All Star Club, Superstar Club and the Elite Club of a national executive recruiting firm.
He has been a guest speaker for the Massachusetts Bar Association where he was invited to speak at a seminar: "Strategies for Finding Your Dream Job: Tips for Newer Attorneys".
Kevin received his BS in BA from Bryant University where he is a Charter Member of the President’s Leadership Counsel, a member of the Alumni Leadership Counsel, a supporter of the Partners-In-Scholarship Program and a mentor/judge for Bryant’s flagship IDEA program.
Kevin is a multi-sport coach for Special Olympics in Rhode Island.

Prior to co-founding Lavalla & Brown, he has operated, financed, acquired and sold companies in a variety of industries as a principal and as an advisor to principals. He has served on the Boards of Directors of public and private, for profit and not for profit companies.
Mike received his MBA, Finance and Entrepreneurial Management, from Harvard Business School in 1970 and his BA in American History from Harvard College in 1968.
Mike cherishes his involvement with youth, high school and college sports, as a player and coach.
